...when i already have a Glock19

seriously, i'm quite happy with the g19. accurate, hi-capacity, simple, cheap to maintain, etc.

but the ma1 looks so much better.

i like it. i'm this close to buying it.

but i need to be convinced that i'm not buying the steyr on looks alone.

LMAO

All ya gotta do is shoot one to know, IMHO. Maybe you'll keep your G19, but maybe, just maybe, you'll find a new shootin' buddy. No one should ever hafta talk ya out of a good pistol and into another good pistol. Shoot 'em both, make your comparisons, and choose which one you like the best. Easy as pie. If ya haven't any access to one locally, see if there's a member here that'll let ya shoot their's. If you're anywhere around the 4 Corners area of Colorado, I'll meet ya and you can try my M357-A1. That oughtta do it.

lower bore axis and more raked back grip = less muzzle flip

solid steel subframe = no flex or "mush" from parts embedded into polymer

really comfy hand fitting grip imho the best feeling grip of any gun I've shot (glock being the worst). When I was shopping for my first handgun as soon as i picked one up I "KNEW"

smoother crisper trigger (though no aftermarket 3.5# disconnector)

triangular sights offer incrediblely fast sight picture (though some people never get used to it and three dots are availabe aftermarket)

much easier to get at the slide lock lever w/ strong thumb (assumming righty) w/out repositioning grip

MUCH more inherit mechanical accuracy and smoother action (tighter tolerances wil mean more lube and maintenance is needed).

but mostly you just got to pick one up and fire it. You'll be sold then (no one I have ever let fire mine in almost two years has not been impressed).

what city are you in? maybe a board member near by to you can meet you at a range...

I enjoy my Glocks and have to say that I carry G30. I like working on them and aftermarket stuff...........but the Chef and Wulf said it the best....
once you've shot it you will know :!: and your G19 will be a widow.......

Didn't mean to rhyme that...........must be the Steyr bringing out the creative side of me..................

Why should you buy one? Question should be why should you stop at just one? I sold all of my Glocks and I am glad. No one should have to convince you to buy or sell something...do as you wish seeing how it's your money....but as everyone has already stated...you won't be sorry.
