If you're heading that way though let me know about the Steyr booth and I'm really curious about HK this year as last years show was a pretty piss poor showing for them. Ask the Steyr folks if they are giving any thought on ways to partner with an US company the way FN Herstal did with Winchest and Browning to bring us poor civilians semi-autos AUGs. Oh yeah, and play with that new FN2000 if you get a chance.
Oh yeah, and ask FN Herstal if the P90 civilian legal ball ammunition is lethal enough for home protection as the weapon was designed around the armor piercing ammunition.
We'll be in booth 249 in Law Enforcement with a bunch of new toys.
You don't have to be "industry" to get into the SHOT Show. All big Las Vegas trade shows say that but the dirty little secret is that it takes next to nothing to get into them. They really say it to try and cut down on the consumers so people can get more business done. Of course I'm only telling my fellow Steyr brethren this.
You can usually register for any show online, and no credentials are necessary. If you ever need credentials, they most likely will simply ask for a business card. You can print something up at home and simply say you are an independent sales rep visiting your vendors. It's that simple.
Now hurry up, Southwest flights are still only about $200 round trip from the East Coast!
P.S. Stay at one of the Station Casinos (Palace, Boulder, Sunset, etc.), they are waaay cheaper than things on the strip. If you must be near the strip, the Stratosphere is a pretty good place but because its at the North end of the strip its always cheaper than the "hot" properties less than 1 mile away.
Yes....PICTURES, PICTURES, PICTURES if you go to the Steyr, FN, and HK Displays if you get a chance. Also have you guys seen the Patroit Ordinance P-415 Gas Piston AR Rifles? Very cool stuff, but currently out of my gun budget range.
I saw a post on Impact arms claiming that the FNS2000s have not yet been delivered to the United States, but I can't wait to see the reviews of that rifle posted once they get here. Impact arms says they are meeting with FN to talk about delivery dates. Thats all just FYI.
Oh yeah and some Lame O' over at HKpro was claiming that the new AUG A-3 didn't have the high quality build of the older AUGs and I'd like to know if this was right or if that guy was full of you know what.
