Which Viridian for M-A1?

Hey guys,
I've been shopping Viridian's offerings lately and I'd like a laser/light set-up but I've got a couple of questions.
Which one for an M-A1?
C5L?
I Found a lightly used "universal" X5L locally, would that work?
What's the difference between the standard C5L and Zombie edition? (Just size?)
Thanks

I use the C5L for my EDC Steyr C9. I endorse it fully. The Zombie edition simply has the green biohazard symbol on it. The X5l will serve you also, but for me I went with the C5L because it is more compact. I have only had a few "problems" with it since I got it, mainly with the buttons pressing/turning on to the "right" setting. (As in it seemed to change them itself) It hasn't been a nuisance or anything for me, I just tapped it and it went right back to what it was supposed to be doing.

Viridian is my personal choice for a laser, being green is easier to see. They are also now breaking into the red laser market, just to stay competitive. Now, you want a really fun laser, totally not able to be put on a firearm, look at "Wicked Lasers"...they are awesome, expensive toys. Ahh, wishlists...
The C5L fits under the muzzle, but the light is less powerful. The X5L is larger and protrudes past the muzzle, but the light is more powerful.

I have a C5L-Z, which came with a pistol case and a pack of extra batteries. I will probably be buying a X5L-R when I have some $$ to play with.

Your holster options are a bit limited, but there are people on this forum who can make whatever you need.

Thanks for the info Dax and dragon.
I'm still on the fence about whether to go with the C5L or X5L but I think I'd have more holster options going with the C5L.
Hey dragon, you ever decide to get rid of that zombie C5L, shoot me a pm.
I have been about to post about Viridian. I had a C5L hanging about. Had it on my L9-A1 for a bit. Set it aside because the L9 was an EDC and hadn't resolved being able to carry it with the laser. Somehow I lost track of the adjustment tool for the beam. So when I bought the S9 I got that C5L out and started looking for the tool. Plus it turned out the rail didn't quite line up right. So I contacted Viridian customer service. I just wanted to know what size the tool was to adjust the beam so I could buy one. In the mail comes an allen wrench to do that. That's when I see that the rails don't line up in the best way. Another email exchange and in the mail comes a full set of rails and another tool for both the beam and the rail screws. The mid size set of rails seems to be the best fit for an S9-A1

That's pretty awesome customer service. Thank you Stacey, Viridian has earned my loyalty.

Nice! Looks great on the S9-A1. Now I just need someone with the M9-A1 to post with the Viridian X5L so I know if it fits
According to my local gun shop, there are adapters included with C5L to help it sit flush with your trigger guard. (excellent news) can't wait to see if it's true.
Another thing I recently saw in YouTube is that there is now a Gen 2 X5L which fixes the light lense battery cap issue. I still like the compactness of the C5L better for my holster (since the holster provided by Viridian won't fit a Steyr).

Are you using the larger rail of the 3 types?
Yes, it comes with 3 rail sizes. I am using the longest one.
Looks good LoveMySteyr87
