Hi. New lurker on the forum. My searching in the forum and out in the www are leaving me empty so i have to ask ... Where can I Buy a New Steyr M9-A1 that is in stock?
I can find a lot of S9s and those in 40 as well but not that one, other than a few used ones that are either old or Grey it looks.
I recently bought my first striker pistol in a Caracal C QS. Awesome! Now am looking for the mid sized Styer. I would like the larger size one I have been reading on in the L9 model ... does anyone have any recent news on when that may be available??? If anytime within the next year i may hold out for that, especially since I am encountering a lack of good new M9s.
Thanks for any info. I appreciate it. This is a valuable resource.

Hello and welcome! I'm sure others will chime in any minute, however, send a message to xthexheadx here on the forums. He's a dealer and can get you pretty much any of the steyr M/S pistols. I've dealt with him in the past as have many other members here and can say first hand his price and service is top notch.

And yes, Head will take care of ya.

Give him a minute to respond, he's also an EMT.

Hiya M*Bird :)

By all means, go with *HeadX if he can get ya what ya want.

Seems the Steyr pistols are gettin' a bit hard ta find...especially the 9MM's!

In the last couple of days, all I can locate are a few S40-A1's.

Bud's is very low on Steyr inventory, but Rex just sent me this email in response to my tryin' to locate some 9MM Steyrs for our Club:

Rex said:
Hey Wulf,

We did get some Steyrs headed this way......some S 40 's and some SSG 04 rifles....308 23.6" barrel and 308 20" barrel.

That's all we can get our hands on right now.......
If anybody finds some Steyr pistols or knows where ta get 'em, plz keep your Club Bro's in the loop.

TIA

Hava great Holiday Season, my Bro's an' Sis's.

Wulf <-- headin' out in the cold *sigh*

Thanks for the suggestions and help everyone!
I connected with Dave at CompactFirearms.com and he procured me a C9-A1 with two 17rd mags.
The last one he had access to, and possibly most others if I understand correctly that a bunch of the resellers pull from the same shared warehouse.
He is who I received my Caracal C thru, and his site was showing the M9 sold out, but jhb recommended I try him anyway ... Still no lead on any M9s but just the one C9 I decided to have him secure for me.

I know where there is an M9-A1 in Tennessee.

Maybe has shot 50 rounds.

Some doctor owned it.
It looks brand new.

The owners name is not Steve, I cannot actually recall his name at the moment.

He is a very nice guy. People generally call and ask him stupid questions, so he's a bit weird on the phone. So keep it short.

I'd try Head first, but here is your backup if he still has it.

It was full price, just so you know.

Did you have any luck contacting Head regarding inventory; not to hijack the thread but I am also interested and seeing where I can purchase one.
Tho I do understand he is busy, I never received a response from Head in regards to what he has or has access to.

As explained in a couple other current threads (like HERE and HERE and HERE), there are some "hybrid" models available at Cabela's yet for even less coin. My local Cabela's store did not have one or else I may have actually picked one up ...but I wanted the latest model with the new improvements and 100% warranty from the manufacture (from the way I understand things).
I had been watching Armslist, and of the one or two that were to my liking they were private sale in their home state only.
Also checking Gun Broker too, that currently shows a dealer in FL with one or two new M9-A1 models.

I went with ordering a C9-A1 and extra 17rd mags from Compact Firearms, whom I ordered from before, I will be taking possession of that this week from my FFL.

I hope some of this helps as I try and share what I know from my recent searching.

... now if I could find some more of these elusive 15rd mags ...

Interesting. That you are hunting for 15 round mags. I only want the 17 mags. My 15 mags sit in a box of steyr parts. I prefer the 17 mags myself, but that's me.

 That is why I said the 15rd, I figure in some sort of way the 17rd ones would be more popular and the 15rd ones may be a little easier to acquire in comparison... but not so at this point in time.
I too think the more the better and would gladly take more 17rds if I could find them at a reasonable price.
Heck, just last week I picked up a new in package Steyr 10rd mag because it was a good price at $15. Cant hurt to have those around too I figure.

But the prices on mags right now is ridiculous! I mean look at this auction currently on Gun Broker, two guys fighting over ONE USED 15rd MAG with 4 days to go and it is already at $78+ !!!
If those guys are members of this club I apologize, I do not mean to insult, but For Real!?!

They are around in the smaller shops it seems, some certainly know what they want for them and others do not seem to respond to me.
Even directly from the SteryArms website the have mags in stock, just not 15 or 17 currently, but they only want $28 for them. Last week I spoke with the lady there because I called her about my Caracal replacement and she said they are expecting a shipment of mags in 2-3 weeks and should have their store back in stock.

Steyr Arms USA site store has All mags in stock and at the best retail new price of $28.00 each!
They have the 17rd M9-A1 and C9-A1 mags in Limited Supply. I just ordered some to knock that availability down.
Also the M9, S9, M40, S40 mags in 10rds. And the M357 in 12rds. As well as other rifle mags.

Just a heads up for anyone looking for some relatively cheap 17rd mags!

Steyr's next shipment of M9A1s due to arrive USA in April.
If you're wondering where all the new M9A1s, C9A1s & S9A1s went, I believe this FFL bought them all, or all they could get from Steyr. He said he received a "pallet of pistols" from Steyr.
I bought a pair of sequentially numbered M9A1s yesterday from Phil yesterday for $520 each. Not the cheapest, but they are post-2010 current production, in stock, and he was a pleasure to purchase from. He's slowly selling them on gunbroker, but the auctions are bidding up to $575. You can order direct, and choose your serial #. He also has lots of 9mm mags on hand (no .40).

Just bought a C9A1 from Trellix Tactical, plus 3 17-rd mags. Second all the positive things mentioned about them - great customer service & straight-forward. They have 2-C's remaing, several more each of recent build, NIB MA1 & SA1s, plus around a hundred 17-rd mags for 9mm. If anyone is looking, this highly satisfied customer strongly suggests u looking at some of their auctions on GunBroker or contacting them directly for a great purchase experience.

I'd love to, but went to www.trellixtactical.com and there is no site that I could find. Nothing comes up on search either other than Phil, and the company is in the directory. :-(

Will have to wait until later this week I suppose when I can call, hopefully he'll still have a C9 left, and won't need to bump prices up, I won't be able to afford it then.

:fingerscrossed:
