OK - but is that the year that they were starting to be imported? I thought I read somewhere else that they were embargoed or something for a while. Can't remember the details too much.

To the best of my knowledge the original M was imported from 99-02 by GSI in Trussville, AL and there was a gap until 2004 when Steyr USA got started in Cumming, GA and the M-A1 followed shortly there after. Don't hold me to that; but that's the truth as I know it.
