Agreed. It's still flu season and I got a sore throat with sniffles. Gonna have a hot Irish whiskey as remedy tonight

Laphroaig or Bowmore, essentially anything from the Isle of Islay. Talisker is good too but that is from the Isle of Skye! On the beer front, Leffe Blonde....

Basil Hayden, Red Breast, Four Roses, or 14 yo Glenlevit. If you cant drink it neat, you shouldn't be drinking it!

For me it's Lagavulin or Glenfiddich. I also like the "Rye Malt" an "Single Malt" from Austrian destiller J. Haider -> www.whiskydestillerie.at

I am staring at Laphroaig 10 and 18, Lagavulin 8 and 2017 Cask Strength 12 yr, Coal Ila 12, Ardbeg Uigeadial, a few Glenmorangies, other assorted single malts, ryes, bourbons, tequilas, and 41.
Last night I watched the 1933 original of the Thin Man and made myself a few martinis I call the W. C. Fields (No. 3 London gin, Dolin dry vermouth, and a kumquat garnish). See Fields in "Its A Gift", Mr. Muckle the blind man scene.
I am about to retire with a dram of the Uigeadial.
Clearly not enough drinking goes on with Club members.
