Hello, I am sure this question has been answered before but I could find nothing on it. My dad got an older Steyr from a friend a few years ago. It is a 40 cal. I think an M40 anyway I love the feel of the gun. I have a Glock and the feel of the Steyr just blows it away. I do have smaller hands so it fits me very well. I am about to purchase a new m40-A1 and was wondering what the difference is for the A1 models compared to the older guns. Thanks.

the slide is the same, only the frame was changed; M-A1 has a rail and no manual safety. Also the grip is more textured.

The angle of the grip to the barrel is less also on the A1, I believe.
