According to Wikapedia the AUG will accept the M7 and KBC-77 bayonets. I know from trying that my AUG will not accept an Ontario M9 bayonet. Does anyone know what bayonets the AUG will accept. Particularly, Will it accept the Ontario OKC-3S bayonet that the Marine Corps uses? Any info would be greatly appreciated!!!

Summing up, M7, C7, M9, OKC3S, KCB 70, KCB 77, or anything else that will go on to the M16 FOW, as the bayonet stud is configured for the M7 family of attachments.

Even on a 407mm (16 in) barrel, but the bayonet lug is mounted on an angle. 3RAR, an Australian infantry battalion, when they were para, had their 407mm barrel carbines fitted with the bayonet stud.

PJ's got 'em, for around $35. If you're going to do this yourself, have a vice with standard US M16 soft alloy jaws. Loosen the bayonet stud's hex key, and screw on over the threads and once you find the desired length say 4mm (bayonet ring) from the end of the flash supp, with bayonet mounted, mark, back it off, place a dab of 243, re-adjust, and tighten the hex key, but don't strip it. Ensure you have a vice with standard US M16 soft jaws. You'll also have to heat the muzzle to break the thread locker, and remember, the barrel is left hand threaded, so 'tighten to loosen', and line up the flash suppressor cuts in the centre like they were before you started. The supprerssor is in two pieces. Loctite 243 will do the job.
