Subject: National strike...............worked in India?
To: "J. R. Smith" <[email protected]>

I believe we will see some large national strikes/protests starting sometime this summer when several million people will max out their employment benefits with no jobs in sight. Thought you might like to follow this just to see how it develops. I know several people involved in the Teaparty effort and they are also starting to talk of a nationwide strike on April 15th and again the week of July 4th. Of course, I'm sure some of you are getting just the change you voted for.....so you can ignore this and just go back to sleep.

We, The People, Call For Total National
Strike April 15-18

The spark of Freedom is igniting within the hearts and minds of the people in America, as well as globally, and we all have the moral obligation to fan the flames. The time for taking our freedom for granted has passed.

It is now time to stand for freedom individually and collectively, and make the sacrifices necessary in order to reclaim it. But it is easier than most of us know.

There are only 3 things we need in order to ensure success. We must be Pro-Active, Non Violent, and Massive in numbers. There are over 300 million of us, here, in this country, trying to survive under corporate fascism. It is time to stop the so-called "Wheels of Progress" from crushing our lives and our planet.

Those of us who realize just how much peril our country, our lands, our homes, our children, our descendants, and our future are in, need now to come together in peaceful, proactive non-compliance. The system is dependent upon our cooperation, and thrives on it daily. Those of us who know where we're headed, have a duty to defend our families and our freedoms, but we no longer have to die in order to do that. This time we use our numbers, and we use brains, not bullets.

This time we participate in "Peaceful Evolution, Revolutionary Thoughts, and the Resolution to see it through". This time we stand as one. No longer will we support a corporate agenda that is able to take our money because their privately owned media misrepresents the news and lies to us in order to keep us in the dark. They exploit our ignorance, making it more and more difficult to find the truth, because they realize that if we knew what their real agenda was, we'd stop it immediately.

"You can fool some of the people all of the time; and those are the ones you have to concentrate on." -- George W. Bush "If the American people knew what we have done, they would string us up from the lamp posts." ---George H.W. Bush "There's three things to remember: claim everything, explain nothing, deny everything."--Prescott Bush, father to H.W. Bush Those are some mind blowing quotes, but it's not just about the Republicans, or the current administration. This is way beyond party lines, religions, or labels. This is about freedom or tyranny, and more and more of us are learning that every day. No longer are we content to hand our power over and believe talking figureheads who refuse to tell us just exactly where our money is going, while AIG and Goldman Sachs make billions in bonuses and expect us to foot the bill for their Wall Street gambling casino games. This is another great wall that must fall.

No more will we submit to or pay politicians who steal our money while ignoring our wishes.

No more are we willing to allow our individual freedoms and personal rights to be trampled by this out of control, "Government gone Wild", who utilize our own military and police force against us, while partying with our money at an event we're not invited to.

No longer will we submit to "Rule of Law" and U.N. troops who are called "Peace keepers", but are actually foreign troops occupying our land and confronting citizens. We will collectively refuse to place ourselves in harms way, and go about the business of living our lives and becoming as self-sufficient as possible. We will fortify ourselves within our homes and communities, and look to our local county sheriffs for protection against this out of control monopoly.

Those of us who are in the military or police force must honor the oaths that were taken when we chose our positions. We will defend our Constitution against ALL enemies, foreign and domestic. No more ignoring our Constitution & illegal Patriot Act mandates. "We the People" are taking our power back, first individually, then collectively, as we stand for freedom by totally and peacefully withdrawing our support from the government corporation that sold us out generations ago.

"WE The PEOPLE" ARE PUTTING OUR SO-CALLED LEADERS ON NOTICE "WE THE PEOPLE" ARE CALLING FOR A NATIONAL STRIKE APRIL 15 - 18TH "WE THE PEOPLE" ARE WITHDRAWING OUR MONEY FROM YOUR INSTITUTIONS and supporting ourselves and our communities because you've refused to do that!

"WE THE PEOPLE" ARE SIGNING THE LEGAL PETITIONS OF REDRESS OF GRIEVANCES found at www.GiveMeLiberty.org and YOU WILL BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE

"WE THE PEOPLE" ARE STAYING HOME WITH OUR FAMILIES FOR 4 DAYS AND SENDING A MESSAGE TO THE DOMINANT CRIMINAL MINORITY WHO HOLD OUR CONSTITUTION HOSTAGE...YOU WORK FOR US!

RESTORE AND UPHOLD OUR CONSTITUTION! If you are unable to do that....... YOU ARE FIRED! "WE THE PEOPLE" DEMAND YOU ADDRESS OUR PETITIONS OF GRIEVANCES

"WE THE PEOPLE" SAY NO MORE TO A BILLION DOLLARS A WEEK SPENT ON WAR!

"WE THE PEOPLE" DEMAND CLEAN AIR, CLEAN WATER, HEALTHY FOOD, SELF-SUFFICIENT COMMUNITIES AND INTEGRITY, FROM OURSELVES, AND MORE IMPORTANTLY FROM OUR LEADERS.

"WE THE PEOPLE" REFUSE TO SUBMIT TO TRYANNY OR GLOBAL GOVERNMENT

"WE THE PEOPLE" ARE SPEAKING AS ONE AND WE SAY "NO MORE"

"WE THE PEOPLE" HAVE HAD ENOUGH OF ILLEGAL, UNCONSTITUTIONAL, CORPORATE, FASCIST GOVERNMENT

HEAR US NOW, OR GET READY FOR A LARGER, LONGER STRIKE UNTIL YOU DO.

HEAR US NOW, OR YOUR TIME IS OVER

THE TIME OF THE PEOPLE HAS BEGUN

"WE THE PEOPLE" A FREE PEOPLE, UNITED IN THE CAUSE OF FREEDOM WILL WITHOLD OUR SUPPORT UNTIL YOU HONOR OUR DEMANDS

POWER TO THE PEOPLE THROUGH PEACEFUL UNITY

Maybe that's what it'll take to get the proper attention from our elected officials.

It's about the same as Sgt.Kelly did to us...as he whacked us in the back of the head and said..."you weren't listening" at about 130 decibles 3'' from our ears.

It worked...we listened.

er, what is the point of this?
it calls for a generalized mass expression of dissatisfaction, but to what end?

business owners are not corporate fascists and i dont see how depriving myself of pay for four days, assuming i have an opportunity to work, is going to keep the federal government from squandering more of my resources in efforts to buy votes and appease the whiners.

no government motors - no government medicine - no government meddling

well, as the good book says.....sacrifice brings forth the blessings of heaven.

i don't feel the strike is to punish anyone.

maybe these tea party folks are figuring if people wil make this kind of comment then the powers on the hill may, just maybe; look out their crystal palace and take notice.

i think the poles called this solidarity.

This has me a little uneasy, mostly because the diatribe is over the edge. There are a lot of businesses that don't suck the hind tit of government.

Too many generalities, and way too emotional for me.

I didn't want to be the first to say it... but after all the flag waving freedom generalizations, it sounds WAAAAY leftist to me.

end corporate facism? clean air/water? boycott america?

why punish americans because you hate the gov't?

starts off worried about people's "employment benefits" running out with no jobs in sight.

i'm no tea partyer, but if it's an extreme right wing, conservative movement... seems to me the problem is that the benefit existed at all? "don't need no gov't telling me to pay into a system in case I lose my job" kinda mentality.

what UN troops are occupying our lands?

bailing out banks seems okay as long as there is oversight of how the money is used.

we can have self-sufficient communities if we adopt protectionist trade and dis-allow corporations to take work from americans and give it to the lowest global bidder.

sounds like gov't regulation is being asked for.

looks like a wolf in sheep's clothing.

edited to add: perhaps it's sheeple in wolf's clothing?

I'm gonna need to read with my eyes open a little wider. While I didn't swallow it hook line and sinker...I ate too much bait.

In a world like ours if you go too far one way you will eventually end up on the other side.

I think changing how corporations run parts of our system and how the government handles them should definitely be changed... depriving yourself from livelihood may not be the proper way simply because not everyone here in the states believes the same things. Thus, allowing for the people that do end up doing a strike to lose their jobs. Which would create more problems.

I couldn't begin to tell you what way is the correct way to go about changing things, but I can tell you there has to be unity first. All great causes good or bad (dare i say evil?) had unity before achieving anything. Look at history; it will show you. And the end result needs to be balance.

Just my two cents.

Whiskey Tango Foxtrot?

I call MAJOR BULLSHIT on this one.

Bailouts are un-american, and un-capitalistic.

Keep y'er damn hands off my tax dollars.... I sure don't want them used to contaminate the free market system...

As for "oversight", I guess the hundreds of millions they are giving as Bonuses is good oversight?

Paaaaleeeeeze!

With all due respect BigTaco, Supporting bank bailouts and worrying about unemployment handouts from the government while suggesting corporations are "taking" work from Americans sounds very "over the left" to me.... and very elitist....

my faith isn't, you continue to attack any and everything i say. :willynilly: most frequently without regard for even attempting to understand what i was saying.

tough to be buddies with someone who behaves that way. :wall:

and it's tougher to get free kudos with a reference like that OffArtist.

can't we just stick to full metal jacket and collateral references like the old days? :D

Welcome to joys - and perils - of populism. If you're ever bored anytime soon, read up a little on Huey Long, the national political environment he operated in and the tactics he used. It makes for some interesting comparisons with today and Obama's efforts to remake himself as a populist.

That quote about "Communiss"? If it ain't from "J.C. Saves", it's gotta be from "A Conspiracy of Dunces". Whoops! No, with that reference to Angola (still the nastiest prison on the Gulf Coast, and one of the nastiest in the US), that's gotta be from "A Conspiracy of Dunces."

Oh, well. I still recommend "J.C. Saves" for a good laugh. Them people in the early to mid 60's had some mighty funny ways of looking at the world. Or maybe that's just New Yorkers?

Right ON El Cat! It was from "A Confederacy Of Dunces" by John Kennedy Toole. One of the funniest and cerebral books I've ever read, and always good for a laugh.

Sorry if that quote offended anyone...:chair:
