I'll be flying up there the morning of April 15th for the rally but will have to leave the protest before it's scheduled end to fly back.

Anybody else going to DC for the Tax Day protest?

I didn't pay much attention when I read about the WWII memorial going in a few years back. Wow!! It may be the most visually stunning memorial in DC with the possible exceptions of Lincoln and Vietnam. If you have the opportunity to go see it, make it happen. It's worth going out of your way even if you've been to DC numerous times, if you haven't seen the WWII memorial. It's on the National Mall, halfway between the Washington Monument and the Lincoln Memorial.

i was there when it was first opened to the public, there was a HUGE turnout...... but really, i was there to see a hot X-coworker who lived a few blocks away, and she wasnt out of class yet.....

but once i got up to it, i spent a good long while there. Very moving indeed.
