super blackhawk hunter

    Hi, everyone,

    I'm getting the hang of my Super Blackhawk Hunter which I got last Christmas. This is a five-round group at 23 yards, .44 Magnum 240-gr America Eagle JHP, off-hand, iron sights http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/tglahn17/ ... pg&.src=ph The first three shots hit inside the box.     Nice shooting.
    But if it hurts after 3 rounds, its time to go to a 2-handed grip. :)

    Actually, I was using a two-handed grip. I thought off-hand meant without a rest. Ironically, it's my support hand that takes the beating, not my shooting hand. This has a regular round trigger guard, not the squared-off Dragoon style trigger guard. It still comes back hard against the knuckle. Later,

    .44mag does pack a wallop - probably as high as I willingly want to go in a handgun. Still, nice looking group!
