Haven't heard or read anything like that. That is specific to Glock due to their partially unsupported chamber. And no lead for the barrel.........due to their special polygonal rifling (or octagonal for G30)........

When I dealt with Steyr over a warranty repair, they didn't seem the least bit interested in what happened. I think they kinda follow a don't ask don't tell policy - I wouldn't worry about it at all if I were you.

I'm sure most of us could live with that "don't ask don't tell" scenario...especially when Steyr USA is replacing M & S series with the A1 if the pistol cannot be fixed...what more could you ask for in a warranty?

Especially when I was the 3rd owner of the S9 I sent in :D
