Hello I have just purchased a Steyr L9-A2 MF and after some dry fire practice I noticed that the feed ramp have some light gouging from the slide where it strips rounds off the magazine. I would like everyone's thought on this.

Looks like a fair tooling mark. If you want to contact Steyr they should get it replaced or you can always polish it and see how that goes. I have 7 Steyr barrels and none are like that. For what I would do, I would warranty it, any gauges on the feed lip would cause me concern about a failure to feed. Being a self protection tool I would call them to replace it especially if you feel it catching against your finger as you roll across it. All that said it’s hard to see the depth of it or if it catches but it should be smooth.

I would say your shooting hollow points .
You can take a little bit of metal Polish and clean up the ramp and it will stop that from happening .
