Last week I got my kydex holster from USA Steyr in Montezuma, IA. Last Wednesday I was able to take it to the range and try it out a with two of my Steyr pistols. It is a very solid holster with very good retention. I think I could attempt most any kind of physical activity without worrying about loosing my Steyr.

While this holster works extremely well with a regular leather belt, my duty type, extra thick belt does not fit in the holster loops very well. I am planning to use this holster to compete in a weekly IPSC league so I really need it to work on my current belt. There are some small plastic tabs that I can cut off to see if I can get the holster to fit my big belt.

The holster does well at pulling the gun into my side and does seem to offer a good amount of concealment. Because of the super retention my draw times were rather low, but I believe that I should be able to modify this holster slightly to speed up my ability to draw. It tried both my M40 and M9 but have yet to try the S40 to see how it fits. I modified my Fobus XD holster and was able to cut the retention in half!

I feel that I got a lot of bang for my buck. I think all said and done this holster cost me right around $30. It is not ideal for competitions, but will work well for concealment. If you are looking for a good holster to use in IDPA or IPSC I would recommend buying the Bladetech if you want a relatively cheap holster that will work well concealing your Stery then check out this great holster.

Was that the price shipped? How did you order it from them? USASteyr website does not work for me so a phone order or alternative website would be needed.
