Have some one heared about Steyr kaboomed. I found plenty of information about Glock and HK kabooms but nothing about Steyr pistols.

well I think many of you are familar with the http://www.thegunzone.com. and the battle between the owner of this site and active members from Glocktalk

Any handgun will have a KB. Have not heard of any of the M series doing it.
Remember the M40 is one of the few handguns that has a fully supported chamber as it was designed to handle the 40 before the 9mm was designed.

It is one very robust handgun.

KBs are usually ammo issues. Squib load, recessed bullet, over charge, weak brass. Glock has the issue with lead bullets fouling the octagonal barrel and possibly causing an obstruction.
glock also had all the issues w/ adapting the 9mm platform to a .40 and ended up w/ an unsuported chamber, which is why newer factory loads have thicker brass and you shouldn't shoot reloads in glock .40's.

I've never heard of a steyr kb'ing. You would seriosly have to way overload a round past all specs to get a steyr to kb IMHO.
Or something really exceesively bad (pretty much deliberate abuse) had to happen to the pistol.

these things are built like tanks. Take one apart the same time you take apart a glock, or xd and you can see how much more solid everything is.

look at majd who's run cases of +p.
or idpa steyr w/ 80k+ rounds.

yeah I know it is difficult to kaboom Steyr, before I bought this psitol I studied it through internet and after hearing many pleasent comments I finally decided to get it.
fully suported chamber is a big advantage.

Looks like that the one I submitted earlier is also an out of battery discharge as the load looks like exploded outside the barrel or not totally in the barrel....

... but isn't it that what a kB is all about? Whats the difference?

Just asking.
