just bought a M series 30-06
proof mark symbols end with 69
serial number is 9291
full length mannlicher stock, rotary mag
20" hammer forged barrel, you can see the spirals in the steel
double set triggers
not a scratch on stock, little or no use on action and barrel

? wanted to find date of manufacture other details or manual

any help is greatly appreciated

That is a low SN for the Model M, so I suspect 1969 might be close. You could contact Steyr USA. They are very helpful.

I have the same model in .270 Win. Love it.
I had a 1952 carbine in ,30-06 and after I sold it, would never be happy until I had another Steyr Mannlicer... and now several more.
The .30-06 is very versatile, and can be loaded to lot of different applications.

I have 2 Steyr Mannlichers in .30-06, a 1952 and a Model M Professional.
So touch back when you shoot a few rounds through it and we can compare loads.
Warning - they shoot lots of loads very well.
