i have been a fan of pelican andSeahorse for hard cases. Pelican has some awesome option and is by far the sturdiest hard case I have but the ones I have are rather large for an aug and expensive. For a pistol case seahorse is my go to and is a very good quality option, especially their 4 pistol case. That said for a softcase that will fit the aug, pistol, and some range gear the explorer is a nice low weight option. It doesn’t hurt it’s only 80 bucks compared to 300 for the pelican and about the same for the seahorse, although the seahorse 4 pistol case is only 100. This is the explorer mentioned above with an aug, 5 mags, ears, eyes, some ammo, L9A2 pistol and two pistol mags for the range. This is a loaded down pic from when I got it, it hasn’t been used hard but it also looks like new

If you are looking for a very compact case, the Ruger "Scoped Rifle Takedown Case" (the same case that comes with the Ruger 10/22 Charger) fits a broken down (barrel removed) non-scoped AUG perfectly. It is well-padded, and has lots of velcro patches to secure everything down, and the top zippered pockets will hold at least three 30-round mags. At 24" long by 10" deep, it is about as compact as it can be and still fit. At $80 its a fair price too. Available in Ruger's online store. I've got my AUG in one right now... I'll try to post a pic of it fitted in there later.

Once I have a scope, I do really like the Mojo Explorer pictured a few posts up -- might have to source one of those! (y)
