So much for caracalforum?

After traffic slowed down a bit, it seems the sister forum for Caracal pistols has been inundated with spam bots. Going through that site is now like walking through the remains of a town that's been bombed to hell and back; to find anything useful, or even remotely recognizable, you have to sift through a ton of debris. I suppose this will again be the go-to place for folks to congregate about their Caracal pistols. I can't think of any other way to kick a company that's already down.

That being said, I've wholly decided against sending back my C-SS. I like the WW markings and I like how it shoots. I can live without a *possibly* faulty drop safety. Luckily, the slide wasn't in the batch that was mistreated.

Ya, it's a total mess over there. Oh well, there's always Steyr Club.:D
yep, i am/was a participant, and went there often to see updates and ramble. watched the attack happen, and collapse the site. shame...good folks there and the owner is a good fellow as well. found me a vz58 for a good price right before the gun ammo rush. good news is allot of the members on that site, were always here on this site.
I emailed the forum mod (Dave)and he said it needed to be moved to a better forum engine. But it would cost money to do it and he doesn't have the time right now to mess with it.So I guess it will sit idle for awhile or until Caracal starts selling pistols again.
Caracal's FB page has been really quiet as well :tinfoil:
I'm contacting to see if there's any way I can help. I believe in the preservation of information like that so I will try to get involved.
There is a Caracal Forum?
I have the F. Caracal was very quick and accommodating during the recall. No complaints here.

How do I tell if my Caracal C was included in the "mistreated slide" recall as opposed to the "faulty drop safety" recall. I have put over 1000 rounds since the recall. I was unaware of the slide issue and thought they were all recalled for the faulty drop safety. I was willing to live with the faulty drop safety, but if it was one of the bad slides I'll return it.
There were three recalls, one for the drop safety, one for the slides, and then a blanket total-recall of all the C's. If you want to look at the specific recall notices, Caracal probably has them up on their site somewhere with the serials listed. You can see where your pistol lands in the first two recalls, but it is obviously part of the third and final recall. Mine shot great, but I ended up changing my mind and returning it. No point in risking my hands. Just as an FYI, when I spoke with Caracal in late March, it was taking 90 days to sent out refunds.
Thanks. I checked and mine wasn't included in the "slide" recall, but was in the "drop" recall and of course the blanket recall. I've been shooting it all this time anyway so I think I'll just keep it for a range gun.
I own or have owned all brands of striker fired polymer pistols and the Caracal is my favorite. I recently bought a Steyr M9-a1 and I like it.
I have 3 mags for the caracal c, interested?
