SHTF vs. MDJ Holster

Since there were no replies, I went with MDJ. Hope it's ok....

Just ordered an MDJ myself. Any experience that you have that would lead me to cancel the order or return the product (quality, retention, overall fit)?

Don't think I can offer much help. I did order it and have tried it a couple times. Since I've never used any holster before this, I don't have any sort of way to compare. It seems to be a good product. However, I think I have discovered that I'm not a fan of this style of holster. I found it a bit cumbersome to get on (could be just user error). I have since been using a Remora and feel that style of holster is much, much better. So easy to place inside your wasteband and later take off. No clips to fight with and it simply stays in place. My brother in law uses a Sticky Holster and he loves it as well.

So if anyone wants to buy a gently used MDJ for a S40-A1....?

I just got an MDJ for my S9-A1 and have an Alien Gear holster coming (AG holster is actually for the C9-A1 - I didn't see a difference in the slide between the C and the S, I might be corrected shortly). I'll post a compare and contrast review as well as my thoughts on the winner once the AG arrives.

I like my MDJ holsters. Good price and good quality.

I ordered a SHTF Gear ACE-1 Gen 2 for the M40-A1. It should arrive in a few weeks. How is your SHTF IWB? Is is still working out and are you Carrying with it?

I've got two MDJ holsters. No problems or issues. Would buy from them again.

Got over a dozen mdj holsters due to wide variety of pistol availability and cheap. I find them pretty good considering the price point.

I also a bunch of crossbreeds, shielded holsters, Cleveland, old faithful, vedder and a few others. Some of these brands are better quality and some are much better quality....but im not that picky. If it works it works.
