I recently got an M40 which I love. Gunbroker has a C9-A1 which looks interesting, if pricey at $475 for openers. I have not played with the C series...the M40 fits me perfectly. I am wondering about the C and if it may be too small.
Steyrs are not common in my area, so I am basically going blind into this. Opinions about the C9 and this price range?
I would jump on it without a second thought at that price point. It is about $50.00 less than I paid. Plus Cleveland's Holsters (In the holster forum) can make an IWB for it.
The only "Downside" is that the ammunition is hard to get. Kudos for those who are carrying the .40 right now, there seems to be a small surplus here in cheddarland. I finally scored some 9mm the last two weeks, but it is just over a buck a bullet here.
I love my C9, and I highly recommend it with no reservations. It is my first (Of what I hope to be many!) foray into Steyr, and I have been nothing but pleased and exceeded in my expectations from the company and the support here in helping me learn about Steyr.
If I had the cash I'd jump on it. I paid full retail for my S40-A1 at Gander Mountain. I don't regret the purchase (even though it was expensive) one bit. I wanted a .40 and I got a .40. I say go for it!
Ahhh..that was my concern. Typically when a "compact" is made, the grip is what is compacted. And I am so happy with the feel of the M40.
Thx!
