Shot my new M9 today. What a great feeling fun. I also shot my friends 1911's, a 44 mag, and a Walther .40

Hated the 1911's, HATED the 44, and really liked the .40

I dunno if it was just since it was "my" gun, but I liked it the best out of all of them. I dunno what it is, but it just felt better.

Blew through about 150 rounds, winchester 115 gr. No pics of the punch board. Ill just say it wasnt pretty. I've got some practicing to do.

Everyone I let shoot it (there were about 15 of us at the range) either loved or hated the sights, there wasnt much in between. Everyone really liked the feel and several people said that it was one of the better feeling triggers theyd encountered.

Looking forward to next weekend. See if I cant get my groupings a little tighter.

(Should note that we were shooting at 25 yards)

Congratulations.
Start at 7 yds, maybe 3. 25 yds is really a long way off.

Was the Walther a P99? What type of trigger did it have, Walther has multiple trigger styles.

Of course we all prefer the Steyr and might be a bit biased.

That seems to be typica. Unfortunatly many people pass on the Steyr for that reason alone, never really considering the fact they can be changed. I guess they'd rather not mess with it.

Glad you like the Steyr, you'll get those groups tighter the more you shoot it.
