No telling why you were denied. Now you're part of that scary statistic of thousands of dangerous criminals denied a firearm purchase each year. Let's all take a moment to genuinely appreciate the hard work those folks are doing over at the FBI to keep us all safe from crazed madmen like playbert.
I would probably have the gunshop try to process my purchase again. If that fails, the FBI has a NICS resolution procedure in place that you might try. Please keep us informed how this plays out.
