I asked if/when a duty holster would be available the for the MA1 series.

They replied that the current duty holster should fit.

Guess I'm getting an M40A1 and will let you all know since I have a the 6280 for the Steyr M40

good luck!

To my eye, i don't see how a holster cut for the M40 will fir an M40a1...looks to me like the muzzel end of the a1 versions are deeper (top of the slide to bottom of the rail) thasn the M series.

Hope it works for you!

So does blade tech.
Concealco is not duty gear.
I want to be sure that a duty holster is available for the A1 so I can use the weapon as my on duty gun.

Besides department regs require we use Clarino (high Gloss) ](*,) :-k [-(

I hate high gloss.

Concealment is not major issue for me.

I'm very excited that you and many others on this website are purchasing the next gen A1 series. I'm looking to upgrade myself and I think that Davidsons is offering a good deal, but since I can't actually hold one and test fire it around here I'd like to see what the consensus is on the M-A1 before I buy it off the net. If its as good at the range as it is on paper (spec wise) I think I'm in business.

Safe Shooting.

P.S. High Gloss sucks...my cousin's department makes him wear a high gloss belt, holster...everything...he hates it.

After about 2 weeks, high gloss always gets scratched and starts to peel.

Davidsons has a copy of my license on file.

Are the MA1's with them 10 rounds or high caps?
