I know there are probably hundreds of threads about carry ammo on here, but I can't seem to find any information on Hornady Critical Duty 9mm +P.
I was told by a coworker that the Critical Duty (CD) are longer bullets and that guns with shorter feed ramps have a hard time cycling them. Now, I trust his opinion, but he's never fired these through a S9-A1. I'm wondering if any of you have any experience with this ammo. I found a box of it for cheap and bought it in a hurry, so I'm really hoping that it will work well should I need it to.
I have 8 Steyrs, and they all eat practically anything. The only ammo I've found they don't like is Blazer Aluminum.
For carry ammo, I've used Corbon DPX and Speer Gold Dot successfully. As others have suggested, run a box (yea, it's expensive) through your piece to ensure 100% reliability and to determine POA.
