Has anyone successfully removed the Loaded Chamber Indicator
without removing the rear sight?

I'd like to remove the LCI when doing a detailed strip. It looks like
the clip on the LCI should come out from under the slide.

Thanks,

If you wish, it's a simple matter to disable the LCI,
simply by removing the clip, part no. 37. take the cap
off, the spring and clipare right there, you've seen them.
The diagram shows the cuts on the LCI which mate with
the rear sight, limiting it's movement, and preventing
removal till the sight is pushed off.
