376 Steyr Pro-Hunter, 20 in bbl, factory rear "V" and ramp-post front sight. REQUEST: I have difficulty seeing open sights with current scope mounting, which is: 2 to 7x Redfield "Revenge" w/1 in. tube, mounted in Leupold "quick-release" rings attached to the same base as matches Browning A-bolt (as per factory recommendation). HOWEVER, even tho I have filed a deep "u" for line-of-sight clearance--it is STILL a little difficult to get a fine-bead sight-picture. Do any readers have a similar problem, and if so, what is your solution. This rifle/cartridge is ideal for much Alaska hunting. However, the open sight application is desired for close situations and the cold wearher, when a breath can fog optics.
    thank you,
    Bob Garrison

    Sorry. Here is my question.
1 what do you mean my open sight through your red field scope? If you look through the scope, it is not open sight.
    2 get a better scope?
