Has anyone used Break-Free Powder Blast gun cleaner and de-greaser on their Steyr, or any other polymer framed gun? Years ago I used Birchwood Casey Gun Scrubber and loved it, but I would be afraid that it is too harsh on the polymer.

Any info or experience on this issue would be greatly appreciated. I once melted a pair of grips on a Sig 220 (with B-C Gun Scrubber) and don't want to go through that again, especially with my M40-A1.

I use Brake parts cleaner (NON CHLORINATED)

Same effect, cheaper price and a bigger can. Under $2.00 ea at Wally Mart.

No problems with any polymer framed pistol.

I've used the stuff plenty of times on my M9A1. At least 3 cans worth now - no problems at all.
