The quality of the HS50 is incredible! One fine piece of Steyr engineering.

However, I don't think it will fit in the safe....time for a bigger one I guess. Really looking forward to trying this out -- on the hunt now for optics and ammo.

    Steyr 50 info for buyer

    hello, flyandscuba.

i am new to this post, but am a snipershide regular. i am from South Africa and am looking to buy a Steyr HS 50. your pic is awesome. there is little info available on the HS 50 so i wanted to ask you a few questions please.

The HS 50, does the rifle come with differing options on finish etc. and are the bipod and muzzle break standard in the rifle package, or do you have to pay extra for them?

i would love to hear your overall impression with the rifle, i know Steyr is an awesome awesome brand, but i am considering seriously buying one for my collection to compliment my Sako TRG 41 in .338LM and my soon to be bought Accuracy international AE in .308win. i have chosen the Steyr over all other .50BMG rifles as i think it is by far the best looking of all the bunch and after all it is a steyr :)

would you please also comment, or anyone else, on the recoil of this rifle?

and if you have the time, please please please could you send me a few more pictures of ur beast. it is an awesome rifle for sure and i know i will have one soon ;)

thanks once again, my email is (for pictures).

Yes, you need a bigger safe just for the pistols, :!:
Looks like that top shelf is sagging from all that hardware :!:
    Can I be your friend?

  10. OH...OH....OH MY GOSH...THANK YOU THE MONEY IS ON THE DRESSER. :D

    That is BEAUTIFUL.

And YES you're going to need a larger safe with as expensive as that puppy is.

I'm jealous, you better treat her right with plenty of range time. :D

I thought you could break it down? And since the scope is mounted on the barrel there would be no accuracy loss when you put it together?

That is a very large rifle, alright! I just have one question, what is the practical use of one of those "beasts"?
