So I just got off the phone w/ Steyr in GA.

They are selling parts directly untill they get a distibuter, they are not set up to do credit cards so it is by check at this point.

He did not have a full price list, a trigger assembly was 240 though. He suggested I just send it in to them to look at though, despite it being user error (OK dog interferance actually) that damaged it and not mechanical failure. (see my recent post under the trigger job thread in Tweaks forum)

And he'd have to talk to europe about price on a extractor assembly (ejection is becoming erratic after about 5-6k rounds, so I consider this normal wear and tear). I should be able to specify a new A1 (rounded pin not beveled) assembly and they will interchange.

Hopefully it won't be too much above the $36 I paid for one from the old place about 1 year ago. (hint hint if austria is reading)

He said to give him a call tommorow and he should have an answer.

Good!

Sounds like you pistol will be in like new condition pretty soon with the parts overhaul you're doing. Probably something to expect after that many rounds in any pistol. Doesn't sound like it will be a ton of trouble for ya to get the parts and thats something I'd be happy about.

Keep us up-to-date.

it's in the top sticky.

However speaking with Jeff today he had not heard back from europe on a SRP for the extractor assembly.

They are currently trying to get set-up to have brownell's be their parts distributer, but it has been taking longer than expected.

What small parts are suggested to stock up on? In other words, what high(er) wear items, or what can I reasonably expect to have to replace in the future with normal use?

Also, if there are several of us wanting the same parts, would Brownell's be interested in doing a group purchase for us? :D
