Hello Steyr Fans,
I went to the range for the first time with my new to me Steyr M9 (not A1) that came with two ten round mags. I shot some other handguns, namely Sig P226, Beretta PX4, and XD9. I purchased the M9 after reading so many good things about the accuracy of the 9mm version of this pistol. Unfortunately, my worst groupings were with the M9. I had absolutely no feed or ejection issues. I think this boils down to a "me" thing and not an issue with this great gun. I read the sticky on the trap sights and seem to be aiming well but pulling off with the crispness of the trigger. I think the M9 has the most crisp trigger of all the other guns I shot.
I used TulAmmo with all the handguns today. It was an indoor range shooting at 10yds.
1. Can someone offer me some shooting advice pertaining to trigger control and methods used to get tighter groupings.
I really love this handgun and think it will make me a overall better shooter to learn it.
2. Since I have no idea the age of the pistol (condition/finish is great) is there anything to look for on the barrel or inner assemblies that might point to looser groupings?
Thanks!
