Perhaps I flatter myself, but if any club members have bookmarked my site, johnmyers.com, please update your bookmarks to http://www.johnwmyers.com/.

The only difference is the "w" (and a few thousand bucks).

Another John Myers who wanted the domain name made me an offer I couldn't refuse so I sold it. I got far more than I expected, nothing earth shattering, but enough to pay for a new pistol (CZ75 SP01 Custom) and a new digital camera, et c. My wife also expects to pay a bit on our credit-card debts, so I'm probably done buying already (but that Sig P250 is tempting).

Don't know who the other John Myers is, the purchase was made through a domain name broker, sedo.com, of Cologne, Germany, but that doesn't mean he's a German, just that they're the leading company that does that kind of stuff on the 'Net worldwide.

Sooner or later he'll put up a site, which I have been assured won't be porn or illegal, so whatever. I took the money and run. Now you know why I'm always smiling.

BTW, since I changed domains, all the photos I've posted here previously were uploaded to my old site name and that url no longer works, so they're not displaying. I've updated a few so far, but there's a bunch that no longer show. I'll update them as I run across them.

Did they approach you and how? I have several domains that I want to sell. One is ThatHome.net. I wanted to use this site for showing the development of my new home, but decided against it. Call John Meyers up and we will split the profit. :D

If he is interested, I have some others.

I was approached and the sale was handled by Sedo, a domain-name broker based in Cologne, Germany. If you've got a domain to sell or want to buy one that someone else has, they're the big dogs.

I have no idea who the other John Myers is that wanted to buy johnmyers.com and I'm just assuming he's a John Myers. Why else would he want the domain name? Sedo does not disclose who their clients are, they just pass the dickering offers back and forth.
