Hello everyone!
I just acquired a new S9-A1 pistol. date code on it appears to be made in 2010.
I really love how it feels and excited to take it to the range soon. One thing though is when I did a basic field strip to clean it (bare slide and barrel out) I noticed how the firing pin easily protrudes when I angle it downwards. Is this normal for this model and/or other Steyr series pistols? I checked the recall notice and the serial number is not part of the batch listed. I contacted customer service anyway via their website and they said, "The firing pin is designed to move freely in the slide and will protrude." Just curious. Thanks!
