Hi gang- Put 200 rnds thru my new M9 A1 (PW Arms) today. I cleaned, lubed and worked slide per members' suggestions. Here's what I observed:
-Used WWB and Federal. No ftf's, no fte's, only 1 failure to fire- Federal.
-I mixed ammo among 4 Steyr 15 rnd mags- no mag issues.
-More accurate than I expected, need to get used to the trap sights.

-Only problem was failure to reset. I'll explain best I can. After 2 or 3 rounds, the slide completely cycled and chambered the next round. The middle piece of the trigger ( safety?) remained almost flush with the trigger, and the trigger failed to come completely to its forward position. I could pull the trigger to the rear, but no BANG.
If I used my finger, I could push the trigger the remaining distance forward and could feel as if it had passed a notch. At that point, the center piece returned to its forward position and I could pull the trigger normally and the gun would fire. Having to do this after almost every round was real frustrating real fast.

I'm open to suggestions. Sure seems weird to me. Comments appreciated.

Welcome to the SteyrClub!

View the tutorial on the Home page here. It will help you understand the Steyr trigger reset and, if needed, how to fix it. I personally recommend you invest in the Big Taco Delrin cups as well.
