in this issue they review the S&W M&P and guess what, it's more like our steyrs than we thought.

1. it's got a stainless block with rails like our multifunction unit
2. it's 70% precock
3. doesn't have a firing pin safety (iirs)

6.5 lb trigger though. and in the article the author spent considerable time trying to get it to malfunction, firing from gangsta style, limp wrist, even upside down. it seems like the only thing they improved on was the rear grip.

it has a sear deactivation lever, but why would you do that on a gun that's not a true DA?

S&W is famous or should I say infamous for borrowing other designs (sigma).....................least they know something good when they see it :roll:

Ya, my firearms instructor (hard core revolver guy) was talking about the steel sub-frame..... on the S&W. I looked at him and said, GOT ONE!! I think he was surprised..........(steel sub frame that is)... He didn't like my Steyr much though.........
