Ordered a Steyr 9mm M-A1 pistol and should have it in a couple of weeks I would like to try it for IPSC so will need some magazines and a holster. So I would appreciate if you guys can help me with a few questions.

Who makes holsters for Steyr? I heard that Galco, Safariland and Blade tech do, anyone else? Are there any generic once that fit the gun well?

I don’t really like plastic holster and leather tend to be too expensive, so a nylon would be fine, but will consider any.

Now, I live in Canada and my Steyr will have a 4.17in barrel, so it will stick out just a little. Will this limit my selection? :?


Are there aftermarket 9mm mags for Steyr? BTW does the M and newer M-A1 models use the same magazines?

Also where is the best place to get 10round 9mm magazines?

Holsters for the A1 are different than the M

Blue line leather and Steyr themselves have them.

For magazines, just check the group buy section.

Speaking of CDNN,, i got a nylon holster from them for my M9. $10 it fits fine, has velcro adjustable/removable thumb strap. The bottom is open so a longer barrel would be no problem.

one of the considerations of a holster is one handed re-hosletring. you don't really want your left hand to be in the muzzle area opening up the holster when you're re-holstering.

i've never seen a nylon holster that would permit this. course, i had never seen the double/single revolver before either

I just ordered 4 mags from a seller on Ebay. I contacted him direct and asked about buying 4 mags direct from him. I bought 4 M9 10rd factory mags new for $40.00 including S&H. His Email is http://[email protected]

Also http://www.cdnninvestments.com has M9 10 and 15 rd mags. The 10rd mags are about $9.99 each. Cdnn has a flat S&H charge of about $9.00.

I just ordered a holster from Grandfater Oak. I read GREAT reviews on this forum about Grandfather Oak, so I thought I would give them a try. There prices are VERY reasonable for the Kydex model I chose.

We are Both wrong on the address. I should not have put WWW. in front. You sent to the wrong "corrected address, you sent to [email protected]

It should be [email protected] you listed the numbers 1234 not 1243 as they should be.

I can't sign on to Ebay right now to check his store name. But you could trace him from the auction I contacted him about Ebay#7245023570

I recieved Email from him notifying me that the mags were mailed Monday along with a tracking #.

This is the same seller that Wulf referered to in his post.
