Hey y'all! In a few weeks I will be getting my Armed Guard License in Tennessee so I can pick up some extra dough on the weekends during events needing extra security from time to time.

I already have a universal drop-leg holster (which is amazing i might add), but am looking for a preferred duty holster (level II retention) for gigs. I have a Steyr M9-A1 and need a good holster. Any suggestions/leads? Thanks!

I don't know about "preferred duty holsters" but I got my IWB holster for my Steyr from SHTF holsters and I love it. As I recall one of the guys who runs SHTF holsters is a cop so they might be able to help you.

Is there a specific reason you are looking at a drop-leg rig? Duty holsters have always been a problem for Steyr - I believe Blade-Tech will make one every blue moon, but they generally turn down requests.

I have a uncle mikes pro3 duty holster. I believe it's a size 22.

i use it as my daily carry. Although its a little bulky as a low ride offset off a duty belt, it has a drop leg application which would probably be perfect.

They have both level 2 and level 3 retention available for the steyr.

mine was a little tight at first but after some break in its pretty smooth. The draw takes some time to get used to with the level 3 though.
