I am really hoping you can help me out with something... I recently acquired a STG556 that is all OD (including barrel) and was told that it was a Gebirgsjäger limited edition- it has a fitted MSAR marked pelican case, but the knife is missing, it has no factory optic (from what I can tell from what I see on line, that is where it is marked with the Edelweiss insignia), no sling, and the case seems to be laid out differently than the ones I am seeing on line.
The serial number is in the 600- P011xxx (last 3 digits are under 499) range- can you tell me if I do in fact have a Gebirgsjäger edition? I have tried calling Microtech, but the message said their firearms division was shut down, spent hours searching online for a picture of the same model, all to no avail. ANY help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your time!
