Major malfunctions m9a2

I have fell in love with my m9a1. Never a failure and super accurate right out of the box. I just purchase an m9 a2 and the 1st three mags cycled fine other that shooting 1’ left at 10 yards. That’s when the problems began. 15 failure to feed over the next three mags. Would feed 1/2 way and lock up. 4 complete lockups where you could no clear the weapon without severe effort. I had to bank it into battery with my fist and still continues to shoot left. I verified it was not me by shooting my a1 and my cz p10 that were dead on. I stopped, cleaned the weapon and switched to a higher quality ammunition. I made it through 1 mag and the problems started again (300 rounds in). Any ideas? I hate that a weapon I love so much is drastically unrealiable and is not suitable to carry and is a safety hazard at the range. Has anyone else had these issues?

Love mine, I traded for it, but never had such issues .

I definitely love mine and my a1 version. My a has had zero failures ever. I’m a jut looking for input on how to resolve. Can I put my m9a1 barrel and slide on the m9 a2 to see if the problem goes away? They do look to be the same

So I am definitely pleased to announce I got 350 rounds through with zero malfunctions. Could not be happier. Jeff with steyr did call me and this seems to be a 1 off issue most likely due to tighter tolerances than the A1. The solution seemed to be tearing the gun completely down , using a good cleaner, then oiling to get the factory’s anti corrosion coating off. The tackiness of the coating I feel was allowing powder residue to stick combined with the gun becoming warm cause the jamming to occur and the slide hold open to fail. Hopefully no one else experiences this but if so clean it real good right out of the box and push through.
