I'm wondering what luck people have had with mag pouches. Have you used the Glock mag sized or the regular 9/40 double stack (Beretta,CZ,S&W,etc.)?
I'm thinking specifically of the Comp-Tac singles but any experience would be helpful.

I have a Comp-Tac #2 mag pouch and it works perfectly for the Steyr magazines. Wouldn't use anything else.

I've used Comp-Tac holsters and the quality of their gear is first-rate. If IDPASteyr says use 'em, I'd go for it.

In a pinch, you can use the Fobus holders for the Glock 9mm (6900?) They fit the Steyr mags okay. Same with the Uncle Mikes...I kind of like them better because they're adjustable and Fobus isn't.

Missed you at the shoot on Sunday -- Charles and Chaps were there. At least I did't get DQ'd and I didn't finish last!

Comp-Tac #2. It can be adjusted enough to fit my M40 or my P99

I also have a combo mag/cuff case from FIST for the Steyr. Nice fit for the magazines, the cuff case is :roll:

I also have a Safariland combo cuff/magazine case for a Glock 19/23. It fits the Steyr just fine.

I like the fobus (model # ends w/ 0). it's got a little bit of bevel at the top to make putting them back in easier.

yes the unckle mikes adjusts, but they're straight and they are taller.

Thanks for the input guys, I'll check out the Glock sized Comp-tac for sure. Are the regular ones IDPA legal with the steyr M mags? I'm willing to bet they are with the S-sized mags.

Should have my Grandfather Oak holster soon too!

I'm sorry I missed it. From Shooter's forum is sounds like you weren't the only one who enjoyed it. I can't find the results from a quick search online but I'm sure you kicked ass like you did in class. I'm signed up for the 8pm slot at the 9-21 Shooter's Paradise match, maybe I'll see you there.

Why not order a double mag pouch from Grandfater Oak? Much more compact than the Uncle Mikes Kydex that I have. It is a custom fit for the Steyr mags. Worked well until I sent it back for slight mod along with an IWB holster that didn't fit for one like jnclement got. Should be IDPA legal since it covers 2" of the mag. Make sure you specify the direction you like your mag pointing since it is a custom fit.

I have a Fobus SG21 Paddle. Was a little tight, but works great now. Keeps gun secure, no problems. Looking for shoulder holster W/ mag pouches. Not too expensive. Ideas? Also inexpensive leather paddle and mag pouches. Learning the forum, apologize for lack of experience. Good forum, helpful folks. I'll figure it out soon, if you don't boot me first.
