I just realized that maybe I could switch the frames and slides on my Steyr 9 and 40. Has anyone done this successfully??

I'm not sure. Just realize that the ejectors will be at a different angle and possibly length

I have both, they swap quite easily. I haven't fired either of them that way. I imagine the ejector differences are minimal. I have a Keltec pistol that shoots 9mm and 40 cal with a top end swap. It's no where near as accurate as my Steyrs, but it works.

I just compared the 9 and 40 and interestingly enough, the rails impeded in the polymer on the 40 are shorter then the 9....I would have thought it would be beefier on the 40.

the ejectors are the same on my s40 and m9 and i have swapped frames and slides with no incident.
