I have found that overall the change is no different than the glock gen2 and gen3 upgrade.. "rail adapter being integrated" and the trigger drop safety being removed.Ffrom my understanding most if not all original M internals will fit and work in any ma1. I suppose it would be a nice add to the collection for most , but not for me, ill keep my bargain basement 299.00 s40 and be happy with the extra $550.00 cash that would have been spent on a new ma1 for other hobbies and or ammo..
Not knocking the new ma1 ,im sure it is just as solid and reliable of a weapon as its predecessor the M . I eagerly await a subcompact model from steyr in the next few years in .40 and 9mm.
