I was wondering what type of tactical light people are using on the M40. I am new to the site, so if there is already a post out there that addresses that, please point me in the right direction.
    Thanks

Is your pistol a M40 or M40A1? If you have the former, you are going to need a picatinny rail adapter...

The Streamlight TLR series is probably the best bang for the buck - they are good, durable lights at a fair price.

    I use the TLR1 on my EDC M9A1 - I love it.

Thanks for the response guys! I actually have the M40 which only has four small knotches (two on each side) not the rail like on the M40A1. Do know if there is anything out there for the M40 model?
    Thanks again for the help!

You need to purchase the picatinny rail adapter from SAI to mount one of the lights. I don't know of any Steyr M/S conforming sights sold in the US.

:agree: There never was a light made for the proprietary Steyr rail setup - you will need to buy an adapter.
