Bought one of the IGB scope mounts for my M40 (1st Gen) from MarcDW here (you can check out his web site here).

Paid $65 shipped (which is about $30 less than what the IGB web site has them for).

I recently bought an AR15 that had a Barska red dot on, well I took the red dot off the AR (getting a better one for it) and put it on my M40 Carbine.

I uploaded a pic but can't link to it until the admin approves it (but you can see the pics in the GlockTalk thread I linked above)

Zundfolge,

Thanks for the pics. Do the "eyes" improve the accuracy of the M40?

Even though the slide to frame fit is very good on the Steyr, there is still a little slop. Wondering if the mount attached to the frame might pick up more variation than the sights on the frame relative to the bore. Range report please.

If I EVER get caught up at work I'll actually be able to make it to the range

I'm hoping that the red dot will make it more accurate with the carbine kit because I'll actually be able to adjust the point of aim. As it is the carbine shoots pretty low (several inches low at 25 yards, but grouping somewhat).

Don't worry kids, if I ever get to the range again there will be a range report.
