I wanted to know what makes the difference between the two mags? I own an S40 but bought some 10 rd mags from CDNN. Is it possible to dremel the base plate and stretch the spring or order a 12 rd spring?
Not possible.loneeagle308 said:I wanted to know what makes the difference between the two mags? I own an S40 but bought some 10 rd mags from CDNN. Is it possible to dremel the base plate and stretch the spring or order a 12 rd spring?
I've got a SIGMA 40 mag that I picked up from a local (sh!tty) gunshop at half price, thinking it was a 15 rounder.. it wasn't, and they don't do exchanges. But, after removing a few coils from the spring, and swapping it with the 10 round Steyr mag spring, I could suddenly fit 11 180gr Speer Gold dots, where only 10 fit before. So, there is something to think about.loneeagle308 said:AHH I C IC. Thanks for pointing that out. Looks just like my Ruger 10 rd mags during the great Ban in the 90's. Maybe I can make them S40 mags? lol..
precisely why I've always said you only need one S mag (after all that's how many the gun can hold when you are wearing it concealed).loneeagle308 said:Well, I got the mags and actually like the extended length for target shooting. For CCW I'll stick with an S40 mag.
