If you check around the net you will often see an aluminum dummy gun used also.
There is a company hee in the USA that casts aluminum into an exact replica of the handgun. also expensive

With the Blue plastic gun replica you should be able to do alot of great hand-to-hand and close in protection training without worrying about undue stress and wear on your pistol. I wish that there were an Airsoft pistol replica of the Steyr M or A1 as that would probably be a little cheaper.

seems like they could make airsoft pistols. course, we have to do our part...

very nice gear. I just looked through my air gun catalog from Japan and all they had in the handgun section for Steyr was a model GB.

yes the Tokyo Maru GB is the only one out; unfortunately it is an old model airsoft and is not blowback like newer ones. In airsoft most of what's popular is the "newest and hottest" guns since the technology is ever evolving. Also the companies tend to make the more popular guns especially the ones in use by different militarys or the "cool factor" dessert eagles and such.

The Steyr air guns (target pellet guns not airsoft) division is now it's own entity not affiliated w/ Steyr Mannlichter. But they did win the medals race in the '04 olympics edging out Walthers air gun division.
