I bought an S40 a few years ago and want to get a light for it yet I have not found many accessories available. I like the gun but need a light for it and I am set. What is available and what fits? I just want something that will work.
nothing. adapter was available for M series but hangs off the muzzle of the S. whatever can fit on the trigger guard.
Where is (or was) that adapter available from? I could sure use one. I have an M40 and never could find the elusive mount for light or laser.
I got one but it aint for sale. I actually got mine direct from Steyr Austria because the tards in charge at the time (guys in Iowa) were usless. There is pictures of mine in the gallery.
so the adapter would fit an S model, just hang off a little? why not just grind the end down? would that destroy the mounting point? while your at it, the light will probably extand past the muzzle anyways, so why worry about overhang?
Good points. I don't have the adapter or a light, but I do have an optics mount for my M40 ... I'll have to see how stable it would be clamped down on my S40.
