Hey man, no bad questions and no worries. doubleclick has them and a few others ready to go with the A2. I use a doubleclick on my c9a2, we plead the 2nd L9A2, and the omnivore for anything really. To answer your question it is not the same fit so while you could jam it and yank it, it’s not going to fit as it should. Leather may have enough give to work but my kydex rubs like crazy and is not ideal for any situation. First thing I did when I got a A2 was test my A1 and it was tight with lots of rubbing.
The friends over at ProTEQ Custom Gear will make just about anything for you, but it's a premium cost for a lifetime product. You can send them your firearm, or a bluegun, and Stephen will make something for you.
I send blueguns with lights and never disappointed with the results. The main thing to point out is that their hybrid holsters are full kydex all around, then attached to leather whereas others are kydex front with leather back and tend to lose their retention over time. Of course, if you want kydex only then it won't matter and you can go with any off-the-shelf option though you may be limited on attachment compatibility if they don't offer custom work and you want to use something different.
