I saw a post but cannot find it about leather holsters for M40. Someone posted that they used a holster for a Sig, I believe it was a 239? I am looking for what ever is close to the M40 so I can try out some of my favorite Don Hume leathers at the show this weekend.

HBE leather is at least theoretically capable of doing them... I saw someone's here on SteyrClub and ordered one myself back in early October. Was told it'd be a month since he happened to have an M40 in hand to use. I was pretty happy, since his normal wait time is more like three months. He adverstises here on this site.

Well, supposedly there's been sickness and a move in the meantime, but I still haven't gotten the holster, so I can't vouch for him yet.

There's been tons of chat about holsters here, just poke around.

I'll vouch for Eric at HBE ... like any custom holster maker he takes a while (last hoslter I bought from him took 10 weeks) but his stuff is top notch quality and Eric is a good guy to deal with, and his prices are excellent.

I've held one of his DC Specials in my hand for a Steyr M and it was nice (should have bought it when I had the chance). It was purchased by another forum member (I'm thinking it was FlaChef but I'm not sure).

Yeah, the pics I saw looked nice, and the last guy seemed happy with it... I'm a little unhappy that it's been about five months now, and I keep getting new dates on when it'll be coming, but then, I do tend to have bad luck with custom orders in general. Same thing happened with some swords I bought a couple years back, etc etc.

So maybe it's just me. :?

I have an IWB for my Steyrs made by Ron Graham. The model I own is the Blackbird with an optional sweatshield. $59 postage paid. It's a nice holster; it rides high.

I don't have photos of it, but go to his IWB page here: http://www.grahamholsters.com/iwb.htm to view the Blackbird.

I also vouch for Eric's work; I have two HBE COM IWB holsters; one for my Kahr 9mm's and another for my CZ-40B. Outstanding stuff.
