This may be old news to everyone, but in case some might not be aware of it, the web site http://www.packing.org is a wealth of information for anyone interested in concealed carry. I reside in the northeast but obtained a Florida non-resident permit after reading on the packing.org site that Forida's permit was good in something like 28 states. A good site worth checking out on a regular basis.

Steve -

Never hurts to remind folks of the assets out there. That site is a great one...particularly if you are travelling. You're kind of a hostage up there in New England -- you have to get through Mass, CT and NJ - which are not friendly to non-residents!

Yes. MA is different alright. My MA non-resident carry permit costs $100 a year, most expensive permit I have ever had. New Hampshire, Vermont and Maine make up for it though, very firearms friendly states.
