Yup, took it. Our local IDPA matches are small (18 shooters today), but still, a Steyr win is a win. This is only my second overall win, both with Steyr, so kind of nice.

The local top dog was out, but I'll take it just the same. Need to get better to win at larger matches. The stage with a lot of points down involved hitting 4 targets below a table top, gambler style. Let's just say my targets might have lived, but wouldn't be capable of romance anymore. Apparently I need to see the sights to get good hits....

Lots of work to do....Go Steyr!

    That's awesome!

So when are you going to post up some Steyr IDPA YouTube Instructional Videos for all of us?

    CONGRATS!

Love to hear whenever a Steyr M-A1 kicks other's butts!

    Way to go Ben!

I shot IPSC yesterday, and the M40-A1 delivered completely. I'm the big problem now. It's only my second match (IPSC), so I'm still learning. I can tell you that having 15 rounds (15 + a bunny) sure makes a difference when you're planning the stage!

Keep it up, I'll try to get us into a win in Limited in IPSC, but it will be a while.

What is a "bunny"? All I could guess was maybe a Barney mag?

I kinda wish I'd hung onto the Sigma mags, but I think mine were 14 rds, and I decided to play L10 with Steyr. I may get an all-out STI Limited gun this year.

Well I do appreciate them Thai!!! I may have to make some for my M9 as it looks like we aren't getting the newer 17rds anytime soon.

A bunny is when you use another mag to put one in the chamber, remove the mag and then put a full load mag into the gun. The old 15 + 1 trick.
